“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t. So that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.” - Unknown
This quote is the absolute lifeblood that keeps me going every single day in business. I wanted to share this with you so that you too can be moved to the core by this quote.
The very essence of entrepreneurship is doing what the common people won’t do. Apply the ideas behind this blog, and you will begin to take that one simple step to your wealth.
The path to wealth is very unique to each individual. Yet, keeping the big picture and thinking in mind when you start is the same for everyone. What the big picture is, is whatever the ultimate goal that you want to achieve in your life. You want to have a business that generates $50K a month, or you could be satisfied with modest earnings and living life how you see fit. Whatever that end goal may be. Keep that in mind when you are starting your side gig.
By having the big picture dream. You will keep the big picture momentum. For your path to wealth, for you to get somewhere you have never been, you have to do things that you have never done.
You see a lot of people want the glory-the fame or riches, they won’t do what it takes to actually get there.
This quote speaks so much power to me. It is very straightforward to the core of a successful entrepreneur.
In other words, begin with the end in mind.
In Stephen Covey’s best-selling book. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change. The 2nd habit he spoke of was, begin with the end in mind.
You begin each day, task, or project with a clear path to turn your dreams into reality. If you have a job. Spend less time on social media, reduce screen time with Netflix, and you have to make some changes in your life that others are not willing to do. But then, after you have made those changes, you will be able to live the life of your dreams. While others, still have to work as door greeters well into their retirement. (Is door greeters still a thing with the pandemic? I wouldn’t know since I order everything online.)
Over the past 4 years since I have discovered this quote, I have not let it drift too far from my mind. When the days get longer, and the months even longer with frustration. I remember why I started in the first place and that I am doing something to turn my dreams into reality. Thus, I am going that extra mile that most people do not.
So what is your big picture journey? Answer this, then start working towards building ways for you to make money on the side.
And always remember, as cliche' as this sounds, yet it is true. The extra mile is never crowded.
To your continued growth,
Fabe
